Report a motor vehicle accident
Larimer County Sheriff's Office is not a primary reporting agency for motor vehicle accidents unless it occurs within the Town of Wellington.

If you are involved in or observe a motor vehicle accident and people are injured call 911 Immediately. If there are no injuries, exchange information with the other driver(s) and call The Colorado State Patrol Dispatch at 303-239-4501 or *CSP from your cell phone (this is a free call) to report the accident.

If you are in the Town of Wellington and are involved in or observe a motor vehicle accident and people are injured call 911 Immediately. If there are no injuries, exchange information with the other driver(s) and call Larimer County Sheriff's Office at 970-416-1985.
Colorado State Law Requires that ALL motor vehicle accidents must be reported immediately!

- All motor vehicle accidents must be reported to the proper Law Enforcement Agency. Report must be made without delay and no later than 3 days from the accident. On-line or counter reports are allowed when there is no personal injury, no drugs or alcohol involved.
