The Larimer County Sheriff's Office has been notified of increased activity of door-to-door magazine salesmen in the Town of Wellington. Citizens in Wellington should be advised that salesmen must have a Peddler's License issued by the Town of Wellington.

The Larimer County Sheriff's Office Explorer Post 909 will host a benefit car wash on Saturday, May 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Bob's Coffee Shop located at 3522 West County Road 54G in Laporte.
The car wash will benefit Addilyn Hawks, the daughter of Larimer County Sheriff's Office Deputy Aaron Hawks and wife Krystin.

Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper signed HB12-1023 yesterday, in a ceremony at the capitol, establishing a Colorado Law Enforcement Fallen Heroes license plate. Larimer County Sheriff's Office Deputy Basil Marciniak originated the idea for the license plate in response to the death of Weld County Sheriff's Deputy Sam Brownlee. Northern Colorado legislators B.J. Nikkel and Steven King sponsored the legislation.

Larimer County Sheriff Justin Smith is pleased to announce that Lyndie Parker is this year's recipient of the County Sheriffs of Colorado (CSOC) scholarship award for Larimer County. Lyndie is a senior at Loveland High School and is set to graduate this May. She plans on attending the University of Colorado in Boulder to study molecular, cellular and developmental biology with the goal of being a pediatric oncologist.
